Currently, I work as a Senior Software Engineer (Data Analytics) at LTI, New Delhi. I have led & worked on multiple Machine Learning & Data Science projects like sentiment Analysis, building image classifiers, image recognition systems, topic modeling, financial modeling, risk scoring & optimization.  I enjoy exploring new use cases in different domains where data science can act as an effective artifact of change. 

Being a Data Science practitioner and a Software Engineer, gives me the freedom to amalgamate my skill set right from R&D to implementation upto scaling & deployment of data products. In 2013, during my research project assignments at MAPLE Lab, UMBC, my interests in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science sparked and it has been growing ever since. I am a growth oriented person and that is why I believe in continually making efforts to grow in my area of expertise.

In my 7 years of experience, I have worked and applied my skills in many different domains ranging from Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Manufacturing, Sensors, Controls, Environment, Weather, Finances, Inventory, Taxation, Suspicious Transaction, Fraud detection,  Anomaly Detection, Text Mining and many more.   

I best perform in teams that deal with problem scenarios involving high impact complex business problems in fast paced environments. I am always interested in addressing challenges with big data &  ML algorithms that spans between Computer Science, Software Development, Data Analysis, Model Building and Scalable Delivery and gets me close to really solving a real world problem.  

I pursued my graduation between Fall 2012-Spring 2015 at University of Maryland Baltimore County. In 2015, I submitted  a scholarly paper to Department of CSEE, UMBC where I introduced and designed a unique interface called SpeakAhead, a speech recommendation communication aid for people with language and speech disorders such as  aphasia, utilizing context sensitive information and crowdsourcing techniques to obtain spot-on, easy to use affordable and spontaneous location relevant conversational phrases. My research efforts aimed at replacing traditional expensive high-tech standalone AAC devices that required friends and families of the user to constantly feed responses with a low-cost no-effort scalable, spontaneous, portable solution by proposing an optimal approach for fusing Artificial Intelligence with human intelligence. In essence, SpeakAhead acts as  a personal assistant to people with aphasia by providing speech assistance at any location.

I earned my Bachelor's degree(Hons.) in Computer Science from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.  I completed my schooling from New Delhi, India. Currently, I reside in New Delhi with my family. In my free time, I grow my love for data by posting articles on my blog, Data Science Genii.  I have also recently  started writing blog posts on Medium, so do check them out.

In spare time, I like cooking indian delicacies.  I like dancing as well, it's fun, enjoyable and a great exercise to stay fit. I also enjoy reading and traveling. On weekends, I spend time with my father & mother and distract them with little things.
